Update May 27, 2020

We have received notice of one new confirmed positive resident case today. There are no new confirmed positive employee cases to report today. We continue to follow CDC and DOH recommendations.  We are currently in the process of resolving multiple resident cases even as we conduct re-testing for those residents and staff that previously tested negative.  Our goal has been to quickly identify those individuals who may be asymptomatic but test positive.  Quickly identifying these individuals will help us to prevent the spread by separating the confirmed positive individuals from those who are negative.  We have grouped residents according to their testing status, called "cohorting" into "Red", "Yellow" and "Green" Zones in accordance with DOH guidance.  Individuals in the "Red" Zones are those that have an active or resolved confirmed positive status.  Residents in "Yellow" Zones are those considered to be exposed.   All precautions are followed and full PPE is in use in these areas including use of gowns, gloves, face shields and masks.  Residents in a Green Zone have no confirmed positive or resolved cases of COVID-19. We are also dedicating staff to the designated areas.  Currently, we are cohorting residents into Red and Yellow Zones.  We will make changes and adjustments if there are new confirmed positive cases. We remain committed to full transparency of our situation and will keep you updated on details during the weekly calls.  Please continue to reach out with any questions or concerns.
The PA Department of Health website has reported that there are 69,417 total cases today, an increase of 780 from yesterday.  This total is the number of confirmed positive and probable cases as stated on the website.  Lancaster County reported 46 new confirmed positive cases today bringing the county total to 3031.
